Operation Love

So some of you have heard of Bound4Life (www.myspace.com/redwarriors).  If not you can go to that link and the idea is pretty self explanatory… The backing concept, if I may, is that there has been enough talk and arguing over abortion, and that a new stance is necessary, simply conveying that of life through the use of life tape… I purpose that we use this same idea with a different twist… LOVE… In place of LIFE… I was sitting on my bed trying to read and I just couldn’t get this image out of my mind.  I’ve had the idea before, but this time it kept gong, and things I had never thought up started happening… Here is what I saw:  Standing on the corner of a Victoria Garden corner was young men and women with LOVE tape over their mouths,, with flyers that carried a simple yet traumatizing (to the principalities and legislations of this world),, they carried the message of love, asking forgiveness for all that we have done wrong as the Church, and asking for the forgiveness of the people and reassuring them that they are loved (This is what I have always seen)… However there was more this time… Each LOVE warrior had a role of the red duct tape, and a black sharpie, “only without the sword can the Christian wage war”, and as they stood there, others walking by began to follow, they would take some of the tape and join in.. complete strangers… there would be a few posts of us around the Gardens, and, in all honesty, I see many being escorted off the grounds,,, however as they are, others step right into their place to pick up as they left off, (a since of martyrdom if you may [only you don't really have to die!])… I also saw another group.. outside the Cultural Center in the plaza in a circle with LOVE tape on crying-out in silent prayers that penetrated heaven… Shaking free the chains that have held down so many… LOVE… it is the message I saw… People seeing others being taken away just because they wanted them to know that they were loved… loved to a point that others would suffer just to remind them that God still loves them…

Manna

Well after reading around in Jesus for President, I have come to a conclusion… One place we can start towards community, even if it is just a little, is through an economic inter-helpararey system (not interdependence, cause there is no dependence in the system, only positive aid to another).  The basis is a ‘tri’ system of giving (burrowed/stolen from Invisible Children’s ‘Tri Campaign’).  $3.00 a week into a community ‘bucket’ (not literally, but maybe).  We are gunna come up with membership requirements, I feel like there has to be some limits, as mild as possible though, and there will be no hierarchy as far as the system goes, so any input/criticism is more than welcome… Ill post more as it comes…

Stop and Chalk…

Well the idea went like this:  We would write on the opposite side of the street at stop signs so that people would be drawn to read when they stopped, write down informative stats, inspirational quotes, ect…

Unfortunately people have been arrested and fined and given community service hours in response to this act; it isn’t graffiti (graffiti deals with damaging property according to the NYPD) but they still see it as illegal… Sad Day Idea #1… Farewell, but at least were moving.
